Q: When did you start writing Pröka?

A: I started writing the story in December 2019. It took me four years to finish! For the first few years, I was mostly focused on writing down ideas when inspired. It wasn't until 2021 that I started working seriously on finishing the book.
Q: What was your inspiration for the story?

A: I have experience living in both very rural and urban places. I've always found it striking how different these areas can be. One day as I was driving to work, it hit me! I would write a story to show some of the different values of each culture I had observed and experienced.
Q: Is this a stand alone book?

A: No! It is the first book in the series. More coming soon!

Q: What age group is Pröka written for?
​
A: Readers of all ages can enjoy this book, but the target audience is young adult. I think middle and high schoolers will especially love reading this book. If you loved The Hunger Games and Divergent books, this book is for you!
Q: What advice do you have for aspiring authors?
​
A: If you have an idea, write it down! When I first started Pröka, I wrote down random ideas, conversations, and scenes as they came to my mind. After that, I eventually pieced everything together and added more to the story. Then I revised things again and again, getting better with each edit. If you have a story to tell, try your hand at writing it. You can do it.
